Repair Service

University IT Computer Sales has partnered with Vitec Solutions to provide warranty and non-warranty repair service for customers on the River Campus, at the Memorial Art Gallery, and at the Eastman School of Music.

University IT Computer Sales accepts valid departmental charge numbers, checks, URos, MasterCard, Visa and Discover cards for work performed by Vitec. There is a non-refundable estimate fee of $66.00 for non-warranty labor. This fee will be applied to the first hour of labor if a repair is done by Vitec. The hourly rate for all non-warranty repair is $66.00 per hour.

Student Repairs - Due to University security policy prohibiting all outside vendors from entering dormitory spaces, all student equipment in need of repair must be dropped off and picked up at the University IT Computer Sales location at Rush Rhees Library.

Note: The University IT Center (275-2000), located in the Rush Rhees Library on campus, maintains a 24X7 computer lab facility for UR students.

Departmental Repairs - All departmental service repairs will be performed by Vitec technicians on-site at the customer location.

Dell - All Dell equipment purchased through University IT Computer Sales is automatically registered to the University of Rochester.   Vitec has been authorized as the University of Rochester warranty (and non warranty) repair service provider.

If an individual is bringing Dell equipment into the University that was not purchased through University IT Computer Sales, he or she must call Dell Direct for repair services at 1-800-234-1490
