Departmental Purchases:
Sales tax is not collected on University departmental purchases made with University 312 requisitions, or with University purchasing cards.
Personal Purchases(inside New York State):
Sales tax is collected on all purchases delivered inside New York State. The current tax rate is 8.00%.
Personal Purchases(outside New York State):
Sales tax is not collected by ITS Computer Sales on all purchases shipped outside of New York State*. Customers are responsible for knowing, and understanding their state's tax laws with regards to purchases made out of state.
*Sales tax will be collected on shipping charges.
